We had the whole experience, rain, more rain, sun, sunrise, and cooking over a fire. We spent time together, hiked in the woods, walked along a river, and got caught in the rain.
My husband and I have an agreement about camping: Minimal technology. Phones and kindles only. Phones for emergencies and kindles so we do not need to haul books. No computers, iPads, or iPods allowed. The only chores are those needed to set up and keep camp.
Camping helps me unwind, remember my childhood, and let go of all those things that NEED to be DONE.
I come back to home, KEL-A Unique Art studio, and computer, tired, a little sore (all that sleeping on the ground and getting up and down off the ground) and remembering why I do what I do. I create because I want to share that feeling of beauty and brightness we find in the world when we slow down and get back to basics.
